NEW PLAY DEVELOPMENT AND DRAMATURGY

New Plays

I've had the opportunity to nurture and champion new plays through Black Rep's First Look Reading Series, as well as through wonderful collaborative relationships with writers such as John ADEkoje, Elizabeth Flahive, Nambi E. Kelley,  and R.N. Sandberg.

Playmaking

I've had the pleasure of working closely with young writers as the Playmaking instructor at The 52nd Street Project and the Yale School of Drama's Dwight Edgewood Project. Read some of their plays here.

Dramaturgy

With Black Maria, I had the opportunity to "work slow" on developing a project with a creative team over two years. Creating innovative playbills has provided other opportunities to contextualize dramatic work for audiences.
